Job summary

Oak View Group in Sioux City, IA is seeking a part-time Cashier to handle cash register transactions, prepare concession items, pour and serve beverages, and ensure quality presentation while maintaining excellent attendance. This role requires strong customer service, cash handling, and reliability.

You will support concession operations, verify IDs for alcohol, and maintain a clean workspace in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ months of experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn to handle cash and operate a cash register and system.
• Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cash register sales by entering orders and completing transactions.
• Maintain stock and communicate low-stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager.
• Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disposal of garbage and cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchases.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
