Sodexo Live! is hiring a Concessions Cashier for the Soda Shop at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. The role delivers fast, friendly service across grab-and-go, restaurant, or in-seat formats, handling transactions and upholding cleanliness and safety standards.

Open evenings as needed with a flexible schedule; candidates should be 18+, with a HS diploma or equivalent and POS experience. Wet floors, noise, and lifting up to 50 lbs are possible in this fast-paced setting.

Location: We are seeking Concessions Cashier for the Soda Shop at the National WWII Museum.

We have FREE Parking, close to public transportation and Street Car. We offer a flexible schedule and great hours with our restaurant open from 8am-3pm everyday as well as evening dinner shows in the Stage Door Canteen.

We are closed all major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Mardi Gras Day!

Principal Function:

A Concessions Cashier is responsible for providing fast and efficient service to customers. They will serve a variety of pre-made or made fresh-to-order snacks, beverages and entre items. Style of service may be either grab-and-go, restaurant-style or in-seat service format.

The Concessions Cashier may handle monetary transactions and are responsible for maintaining Sodexo Live's standards for cleanliness and sanitation.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding service to all customers.
• Ensure that policies and procedures for processing customer sales transactions are adhered to.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
  TIPS or TEAM trained or equivalent.
• Age 18 or older.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions.
• Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Ability to count and accurately make change involving large sums of money.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to work well in a high stress, fast paced environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used by guests who typically visit the work location.
• Technology aptitude for working with POS and digital register.
• Strong skills for persuasive sales, with keen ability to connect easily with customers.
• Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs.

Other requirements include but are not limited to:

Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
Hours are often extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
