Job summary

Iron Peak Sports & Events, LLC in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking a part-time Concessions Cashier to provide fast, friendly service at the concessions stand. You will handle cash and card transactions, operate the POS system, and keep the area clean and organized while complying with food safety guidelines.

The role requires flexible availability including nights, weekends and event days, with lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Prior cashier, retail, or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills and comfort handling money accurately.
• Ability to operate a POS/register system (training provided).
• Food handler's certification a plus, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take orders accurately and courteously.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system to process cash, credit, and mobile payments.
• Count and balance cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Prepare and serve food and beverage items according to portion and quality standards.
• Restock supplies, cups, condiments, and packaging as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of counters, equipment, and dining/service areas throughout the shift.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines (proper handwashing, temperature checks, safe food handling).
• Resolve minor customer concerns and escape larger issues to a supervisor.
• Follow all cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.

• Fast-paced, especially during peak event times
