Job summary

The Granada Theatre is seeking a part-time Concessions Bartender to join our team in Santa Barbara. You will craft drinks, deliver excellent service, and work during performances in a lively live entertainment setting.

Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour with pooled tips. Schedule varies by event calendar, including evenings and weekends. Previous bartending experience and CA RBS/CA Food Handlers certification are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of bartending experience.
• Knowledge of POS/credit card terminals.
• CA RBS Certification and CA Food Handlers Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team with other bartenders.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Demonstrate mixology knowledge and garnishes.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal alcohol regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area.

Work Schedule:

Granada Concessions Staff work a varied schedule of weekdays and evenings, and weekends hours, solely dictated by the event schedule. • Working in a team environment in collaboration with other bartenders.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.
• Prepare and serve a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of mixology, including cocktail recipes, drink ingredients, and proper garnishes.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol.
• Operate and maintain the bar area in a clean, organized, and presentable manner.
• Efficiently handle cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with inventory management, monitoring stock levels, and reporting shortages or discrepancies to the management team.
• Follow established safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling and storage of beverages and bar equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet customer needs.
• Train and mentor new staff members in bar operations, ensuring consistent service quality.

Skills/Knowledge

• At least 1 year of Bartending
• Knowledge of basic POS/credit card terminals
• CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification and CA Food Handlers Certificate Required

Working Conditions

• This position requires the ability to work a variable schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
• At times, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.

Benefits & Compensation:

This is a part-time, nonexempt position. The pay is $18.00 per hour. The Granada Theatre provides sick time and EAP benefits for all part-time employees.
