Job summary

Oak View Group seeks a Concessions Worker at McCaw Hall in Seattle to prepare and serve concessions, pour beverages, and handle cash transactions with a focus on quality presentation. You will maintain stock, assist guests, and uphold safety standards while working in a fast-paced arena environment.

This part-time role offers 401(k) savings with employer match and requires availability nights, weekends, and holidays. The position pays $21.30 per hour and is eligible for tipping as outlined.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred or willingness to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card and Liquor Card are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.
• Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge of all areas in the concessions operations.
• Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low‑stock items to the Concessions Stand Manager .
• Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.
• Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly.
• Check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

Position Summary

The Concessions Worker prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. This role pays an hourly rate of $21.30 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

McCaw Hall

McCaw Hall is home to Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet. We are a show‑based operation that caters to concessions, banquets, catering, and our fine dining restaurant venue. Energies are focused on quality food preparations and presentations with seasonal quarterly menu changes.
