Job summary

The City of St. Joseph is seeking a REC Concession Attendant to manage the concession stand at the St. Joseph REC Center.

You will be responsible for food and drink preparation, serving customers, handling cash, and keeping the area clean and stocked. This role requires flexibility to work late evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. The successful candidate will have basic food handling experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; not required.
• Experience with cash handling and serving in busy environments.
• Ability to work irregular hours including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 10–50 pounds.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and close the concession stand.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages.
• Fill orders and handle payments at the cash register with accuracy.
• Restock concession stands as directed by supervisor.
• Enforce rules and maintain cleanliness in the concession area.
