Job summary

The City of St. Joseph is seeking a Concession Attendant to handle the setup, operation, and closing of the concession stand at the St. Joseph REC Center. You will prepare food and beverages, serve customers, and maintain the concession area during events.

This role requires flexible hours, strong cash-handling skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work irregular hours including late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of cash handling and operating a cash register.
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions accurately.
• Some experience in food handling and preparation is helpful.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 10 to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and close the concession stand at the St. Joseph REC Center.
• Prepare and serve food and drinks; fill customer orders.
• Assist in restocking and maintaining the concession area and surrounding spaces.
• Operate cash register and provide accurate change for sales.
• Assist in set-up and clean-up of concession areas as needed.
• Enforce center rules and policies with patrons.
