The Lexington Philharmonic is looking for a Concertmaster to join their orchestra. Interested candidates must submit their applications by 11:59 PM (EST) on September 14, 2026. Following the application review, selected applicants may be required to provide a short audio recording of excerpts. Invitations to audition will be sent by September 21, 2026.Invited candidates must confirm their participation by sending an acceptance email and a $50 deposit check by October 5, 2026. The deposit will be returned at the audition, but not if the applicant withdraws after the deadline. The successful candidate will participate in a trial week with the orchestra following the audition.The Concertmaster position is compensated on a per-service basis, starting at $260 per service. Additional travel and housing reimbursements are available for musicians traveling from outside Lexington, KY. The concert cycle typically includes four evening rehearsals and a Saturday concert.
