Job summary

710 Labs is seeking a Packaging Technician for the Oakland, CA facility to support the Packaging Manager in day-to-day operations. The role focuses on preparing bulk cannabis extract for retail, packaging jars and accessories, and maintaining meticulous records in a fast-paced production setting.

You will work in a cold environment (30-40F), handle inventory and QC processes, and participate in ongoing education. The position offers full-time hours with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in a production or manufacturing environment is highly desired.
• Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and in writing.
• Strong number skills and basic math; inventory experience is desired.
• Detail oriented with focus on process improvement and optimization.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying conditions.
• Comfortable working in cold environments (30-40F) for extended periods.
• Able to sit, squat, stand, kneel, bend, or walk for long periods.

We are looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to assist the Packaging Manager with day‑to‑day operations. A packaging technician has the responsibility of preparing bulk cannabis extract for retail sale. This is a manufacturing position in a production environment at our facility based in Oakland, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation and cleaning of boxes, jars, lids, and equipment for packaging.
• Packaging & Filling jars of water hash, rosin, disposable vaporizers and pods.
• Cleaning of equipment and packaging facility.
• Maintaining strict paper records of product grammed, product boxed, damaged items, discrepancies, and equipment issues.
• Record keeping of all details pertinent to packaging and inventory.
• Follow all QC protocols set forth in the department.
• Storing of supplies and equipment, disposal of waste, and keeping the work area in pristine condition.
• Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
• Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
• Enforcing a culture of safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is highly desired.
• Experience and background in the cannabis industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media.
• Strong number skills and basic math. Experience with inventory is desired.
• Detail orientated with an eye on process improvement and optimization.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, to manage high‑stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires.
• Must be comfortable working in cold environments (30-40F) for extended periods of time.
• For extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
• Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.
• Ability to work a varying schedule including nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
• Pay Range: $18.85/hour + opportunity to earn monthly incentive based on performance.
• Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, 401K with company match, paid time off, and holidays.
