Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services, in support of EWOCS, seeks a COMSEC specialist to assist across Patrick Space Force Base and Vandenberg AFB. You will support COMSEC account management, training, audits, and CAP enrollment for personnel.

The role requires 1–3 years of COMSEC exposure, familiarity with related regulations, and in possession of CompTIA Security+ and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

American Communications Solutions and By Light Professional IT Services, together as Full Spectrum Operations (FSO) are hiring dedicated and talented IT professionals under the Eastern Western Operational Communications Services (EWOCS) contract. EWOCS provides reliable high-quality communications and innovative IT solutions for the Guardians, Airmen, and Government agencies assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. • Assists in the Development and implementation COMSEC policies and procedures for the VSFB COMSEC account, ensuring compliance with DAFMAN 17-1302-O, MPTO 00-33B-5001, CNSSI 4001, 4003, 4004.1 & 4005 and NSA 3-16 across multiple sites
• Assists COMSEC Managers with COMSEC personnel and operations, ensuring adherence to federal security standards, conducting training, and overseeing operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all required regulations and directives by leading audits, assessments, and process evaluations to maintain operational integrity.
• Ensure all personnel receiving COMSEC material are enrolled in the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP) as required
• Establish a comprehensive user-training program for all COMSEC Responsible Officers (CROs) and Secure Voice Responsible Officers (SVROs) and alternates
• Ensure CROs and SVROs conduct user training for all personnel having access to COMSEC material
• Ensure users write COMSEC Standard Operating Procedures and coordinate with the COMSEC Manager
• Assist users in obtaining COMSEC accountable Cryptographic Controlled Item (CCI) equipment in support of program/mission requirements
• Maintain COMSEC account files and prepares and submits accounting receipt records of all COMSEC material issued to users
• Ensure realistic Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) exist at all user locations
• Receive/send packages via Defense Courier Service (DCS) and ensure all material received reconciles with material listed on the transfer report
• Provide users with guidance on shipping COMSEC accountable equipmentAssist supporting controlling authorities when conducting crypto-systems management revalidations and surveys
• Lead risk management efforts related to COMSEC material security, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing corrective actions
• Assists COMSEC Managers with semiannual assessment/audit of both the main account and all local element accounts
• Provide CROs with applicable status information for the key they are issued
• Must have 1-3 years experience
• Must be familiar with COMSEC requirements and procedures to include the acquisition, maintenance, operations and disposition of COMSEC equipment.

SALARY RANGE

Salary Minimum $52,125

Salary Mid $ 83,400

Salary Maximum $ 105,120
