Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Communications Security Account Manager to own COMSEC accounts, issue and destroy keys, and ensure compliance with stringent security standards for launch vehicles, satellites, and ground systems.

The role requires handling dedicated crypto units and preparing security deliverables, with opportunities to interface with customer counterparts and present to leadership. Top Secret clearance is required or pursued as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of professional experience in COMSEC or a security field in lieu of a degree
• 1+ year of experience in COMSEC or a security field
• Familiarity with COMSEC policies and procedures is required

Responsibilities

• Independently manage COMSEC accounts, key issuance, and destruction procedures
• Perform and oversee self-inspections, inventories, and compliance activities to company standards
• Operate, troubleshoot, and configure End Crypto Units including the KG‑175 suite, KGR‑42, and KG‑250 suite
• Prepare COMSEC deliverables such as security plans and key management plans with limited oversight
• Interface with customer counterparts at the security execution level and present to leadership
