Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a COMSEC Analyst to own key COMSEC disciplines that support security of launch vehicles, satellites, and ground systems. Implement secure procedures while ensuring national security requirements are met without slowing innovation.

Role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years in COMSEC, 1+ year in COMSEC, and familiarity with CNSSI 4005/4001, DIAS, KMI, and related policies. Willingness to work in a classified environment and extended hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; OR 3+ years of professional experience in COMSEC or a security field in lieu of a degree
• 1+ years of experience in COMSEC or a security field
• Experience with CNSSI 4005 & 4001, NCSM Vol. 2, NSA/CSS Manual 3-16 and related COMSEC policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Independently manage COMSEC accounts, key issuance, and destruction procedures
• Perform and oversee self-inspections, inventories, and compliance activities to company standards
• Operate, troubleshoot, and configure End Crypto Units including the KG-175 suite, KGR-42, and KG-250 suite
• Prepare COMSEC deliverables such as security plans and key management plans with limited oversight
• Interface with customer counterparts at the security execution level and present to leadership
