Job summary

Targeted Solutions, LLC seeks a COMSEC Manager I to support DoD SAP programs, ensuring secure COMSEC inventories, procedures, and training across sensitive environments. The role involves coordinating encryption devices, security clearances, and inventory controls in a SAP/SCI context.

The candidate will install secure communications equipment, manage TOP SECRET inventories, and liaise with government customers, ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements and physical security

Qualifications

  • Strong COMSEC accountability and procedures for issue/receipt of equipment
  • Ability to conduct inventories and coordinate with government customers
  • Willingness to perform moderate lifting (25–40 pounds)
  • Experience in SAP/DoD environments is a plus
  • Clearance eligibility and polygraph requirements consideration

Responsibilities

  • Conduct secure equipment inventories and inspections for COMSEC material
  • Install secure telephone equipment and coordinate encryption device delivery
  • Administer TOP SECRET inventory and document control for COMSEC equipment
  • Conduct agency policy inventories and report discrepancies
  • Courier classified information and complete receipts for materials
  • Ensure AIS security requirements related to COMSEC duties are met
  • Maintain proper physical security accreditation for facilities
  • Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and equipment usage

Job description

COMSEC Manager I

REQ: 26-J-1750

The COMSEC Manager’s primary function is working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

Performance Shall Include
  • Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephone and encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspections and other COMSEC related support and oversight functions.
  • Perform installation of secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate to deliver encryption device(s) and keying material to select Information Technology (IT) specialists maintaining classified networks.
  • Administer a Top-Secret inventory and document control program to account for COMSEC equipment and materials.
  • Conduct inventories per agency policy and reports any discrepancy to government customer.
  • Courier classified information and author receipts for classified materials.
  • Ensure Automated Information Systems Security requirements, related to COMSEC duties, are complied with.
  • Ensure proper physical security accreditation has been issued by designated Program Security Officers for supported facilities.
  • Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the use of related equipment.
Experience
  • 5 years related experience
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Security Clearance
  • TS/SCI
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
  • Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Other Requirements
  • Must have a strong understanding of COMSEC accountability as well as knowledge of the procedures required for the issue and receipt of COMSEC equipment and materials to include inventory and mailing
  • Must be familiar with COMSEC requirements and procedures to include the acquisition, maintenance, operations and disposition of COMSEC equipment.
  • Must be able to perform regular moderate lifting (approximately 25 – 40 pounds)
