Position Type: Full-Time

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required; SCIeligibility required; SAP access eligibility required; must be willing toundergo a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph.

Position Overview

The COMSEC Manager’s primary function is working withinSpecial Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies,such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and MilitaryCompartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support forCollateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special AccessProgram (SAP) activities.

Current Billet Requirements

• MANDATORY: 5 years related experience.
• DESIRED: SAP experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct secure equipment (e.g., secure telephoneand encryption devices) and classified keying material inventories, inspectionsand other COMSEC related support and oversight functions
• Perform installation of secure telephoneequipment (STE) and coordinate to deliver encryption device(s) and keyingmaterial to select Information Technology (IT) specialists maintainingclassified networks
• Administer a Top Secret inventory and documentcontrol program to account for COMSEC equipment and materials
• Conduct inventories per agency policy andreports any discrepancy to government customer
• Courier classified information and authorreceipts for classified materials
• Ensure Automated Information Systems Securityrequirements, related to COMSEC duties, are complied with
• Ensure proper physical security accreditationhas been issued by designated Program Security Officers for supportedfacilities
• Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and the useof related equipment

Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• SCI eligibility required.
• Eligibility for access to Special Access Program(SAP) information.
• Must be willing to undergo a Counterintelligence(CI) polygraph.

Other Requirements

• Must have a strong understanding of COMSECaccountability as well as knowledge of the procedures required for the issueand receipt of COMSEC equipment and materials to include inventory and mailing
• Must be familiar with COMSEC requirements andprocedures to include the acquisition, maintenance, operations and dispositionof COMSEC equipment.
• Must be able to perform regular moderate lifting(approximately 25 – 40 pounds)
