COMSEC Manager — DoD SAP/SCI Security Lead

Job summary

MANTECH seeks a COMSEC Manager in El Segundo, CA to support DoD SAP programs and manage day-to-day COMSEC activities for collateral, SCI, and SAP operations. This in-office role expects strict adherence to COMSEC procedures and secure material handling.

The position requires coordinating inventories, equipment installation, and training personnel, with Top-Secret/SCI eligibility as part of the security baseline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4 years)
• 6 years of related experience, including at least 4 years in an SCI/SAR environment
• Must complete the COMSEC Manager’s course within 6 months of starting on contract
• Strong understanding of COMSEC accountability and procedures for issue, receipt, inventory and mailing of COMSEC materials
• Familiarity with COMSEC acquisition, maintenance, operations, disposition, ICDs, JAFANs, DoD Manuals and security policies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Responsibilities

• Conduct secure equipment inventories and COMSEC-related support and oversight functions
• Install secure telephone equipment (STE) and coordinate encryption devices and keying material delivery
• Administer a Top-Secret inventory and document control program for COMSEC equipment and materials
• Conduct inventories per agency policy and report discrepancies to the government customer
• Courier classified information and issue official receipts for classified materials
• Ensure compliance with AIS security requirements related to COMSEC duties and facility accreditation
• Train personnel in COMSEC procedures and proper use of related equipment
