COMSEC ACCOUNT MANAGER

SpaceX seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented COMSEC manager to support the COMSEC team. The role involves providing COMSEC support to government stakeholders while balancing the needs of engineering, operations, and mission management. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert ensuring compliance with government standards for receipt, custody, transfer, safeguarding, accounting, and destruction of COMSEC material. As part of the Government Security Programs Team, you will own problem sets, develop solutions, and safeguard communications security materials across multiple accounts. This is a high-impact role requiring extreme ownership in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on communications security and government compliance across various classification levels including collateral, SCI, and SAP.
• Collaborate with program managers to develop and implement security policies ensuring compliance.
• Utilize KMI to manage certificates, keys, and SW packages.
• Maintain accountability for all COMSEC assets within assigned accounts.
• Work with program personnel to keep keying records and COMSEC Requirements Letters current.
• Develop and deliver security education and training on program security procedures, including COMSEC protocols.
• Assist in creating COMSEC documentation such as SKMPs, Protection Plans, and Transportation Plans.
• Act as a trusted advisor for technical staff regarding processes, asset status, and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to government regulations and requirements.
• Provide day-to-day support for internal programs and stakeholders.
• Configure ECUs, including installation, keying/rekeying, administration, and troubleshooting.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of security experience related to COMSEC management and compliance.
• 5+ years supporting DoD, SAP, or IC COMSEC accounts.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• Completed TRADOC-approved KMI and COMSEC Account Manager Course.
• Experience with satellite communications, space launch operations, or aerospace environments.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of COMSEC requirements and procedures.
• Experience with security policies and documentation.
• IAEC-2112 or NRO CRO training.
• Familiarity with DIAS, iApp, KMI, or similar systems.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass a U.S. Government CI scope polygraph.
• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $125,000 - $175,000 annually, with potential bonuses and stock options. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), paid leave, and more.
