Lighthouse Central Florida seeks a Lead Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide Orientation and Mobility Services and lead the O&M Team in Orlando. You will supervise staff, model best practices, and ensure instruction meets client needs while advancing program quality.

The role combines direct client support with strategic leadership, overseeing curricula, driving improvements, and staying current with new methods to expand access and independence for clients served across

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2+ years’ experience working with individuals with visual impairments (or other disabilities).
Strong leadership, team-building, and curriculum development.
Passion for mission-driven work and improving lives.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop our Orientation and Mobility Team.
Oversee O&M curricula, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and impactful service delivery.
Drive program improvements, innovation, and growth aligned with community needs.
Provide direct client support and assessments.
Evaluate new and emerging advancements in the field to determine accessibility and compatibility with current training.
