Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a Computerized Tomography Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation. The role includes handling general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed, while ensuring patient safety and data integrity.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT RT CT credentials, CA licensure, and BLS certification, with preference for CT advanced certification.

Qualifications

• ARRT RT CT credential required (R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or RT (R)(ARRT)
• CA Radiologic Tech license in state of practice required
• CT Advanced Certification preferred in CA; required in OR and HI
• BLS certification required
• Fluoroscopy license in CA if fluoroscopy is used
• Venipuncture (IV) certification required in CA

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients from adolescence to geriatric
• Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
• Use PACS and teleradiology to transfer images to the appropriate location
• Maintain accurate records and ensure HIPAA compliance and data confidentiality
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CT equipment and manage supplies

Computerized Tomography Technologist (Bluesky)

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Education & Experience

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materials
• Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory
