Role: Computer Vision Engineer – Autonomy

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Location: El Segundo, CA (in-person only, no hybrid)

Compensation: $200k – $300k base + competitive equity

Visa: Not available — must be U.S. citizen

Role Summary

As Autonomy Computer Vision Engineer, you’ll design and implement real-time vision algorithms for autonomous drones. Work spans from algorithm development to deployment in operational environments. You'll collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to deliver reliable autonomy in challenging field conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop & optimize real-time computer vision algorithms for drone autonomy

  • Implement techniques for SLAM, object detection, and image segmentation

  • Integrate vision solutions with autonomous UAV platforms

  • Validate algorithms in simulation & real-world environments

  • Ensure system performance under real-time constraints

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 3+ years in computer vision, robotics, or autonomy systems

  • Strong coding skills: Python + C++

  • Expertise with vision libraries: OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch

  • Experience with SLAM and perception pipelines

  • Familiarity with UAVs, drones, and embedded constraints

  • U.S. citizenship required
