Computer Vision Software Developer

Remote

12-month contract

We are seeking an experienced Computer Vision Software Developer to join a Fortune 50 Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader located in Englewood Cliffs, NJ (This consultant can sit fully remote). In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and development of intelligent video analysis solutions using state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning techniques. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable applications for real-time media processing and video intelligence.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python development
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Strong understanding of computer vision principles, particularly in:
• Video analysis
• Facial recognition
• Familiarity with algorithms for:
• Image and video segmentation
• Background subtraction
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, data science, and DevOps teams
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Self-starter with a passion for innovative technology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with open-source computer vision tools such as:
• PySceneDetect
• OpenCV
• Knowledge of artificial neural networks, especially convolutional neural networks (CNNs)
• Exposure to deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Familiarity with integrating CV models into production environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable computer vision applications for video content analysis
• Implement algorithms for facial recognition, object tracking, image segmentation, and scene detection
• Optimize model performance and application reliability in real-time video workflows
• Integrate machine learning models into containerized environments
• Evaluate and incorporate third-party CV tools and libraries
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with technical and business goals
