The University of Kentucky is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join the EduceLab research team within the Department of Computer Science.
This position supports cutting-edge research at the intersection of computer vision, artificial intelligence, imaging science, and cultural heritage preservation. The successful candidate will develop imaging workflows, design software solutions, support advanced research infrastructure, and help drive innovation in the lab's heritage science AI initiatives.
Advances in artificial intelligence, imaging technologies, and high-performance computing are creating new opportunities to study, preserve, and interpret cultural heritage materials in ways that were not previously possible. EduceLab continues to expand its research capabilities and develop innovative approaches that combine engineering, computer science, and heritage science.
In this role, you'll help build the technologies and infrastructure that enable groundbreaking research while working alongside experts who are pushing the boundaries of imaging, visualization, and AI-driven discovery.
