Job summary

ABBTECH Professional Resources and our partner Dell are seeking a Computer Technician for a Tomball, TX project. You will unbox two units, swap old for new computers, connect peripherals, configure Wi‑Fi, printer access, map drives, and help set up email.

All software is pre-installed. A background check is required and paid for by ABBTECH. Pay rate is $19-21/hr for a one‑day assignment; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and demonstrate strong customer service and independence.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass background check.
• High school diploma with 1 year exp or 2 years exp total.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent required.
• Experience in End User Computing PC/Laptop deployment.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and scripts.

Responsibilities

• Unbox 2 units.
• Swap old for new computers.
• Connect peripherals (keyboard, monitor, mouse).
• Connect to Wi‑Fi.
• Map server drive and assist email setup.
• Note: Software is pre-installed; no extra software install required.

ABBTECH Professional Resources and our partner Dell, are looking for a Computer Technician for a project in Tomball, TX.

Project Details:

• Pay Rate : $19-21/hr – Depending on Experience

• Duration: 1 day

• Start Date : 10/16/2026

• Location : Tomball, TX

• Requirements : All positions require a successful completion of a background check (we do not check credit) – ABBTECH pays for the check

• Certification Requirements: CompTIA A+ or equivalent

• Duties :

• Unbox 2 units

• Swap old for new computers

• Connect peripherals (keyboard, monitor and mouse)

• Connect to Wi‑Fi

• After that, connect to their printer, map the server to a drive and help set up email

• Software is already pre-installed. No additional Software to be installed by tech

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Required Qualification:

• High School Diploma and 1 year of experience with at least a CompTIA A+ certification or at least 2 years of experience.

• At least 1 year of experience working as an End User Computing PC/Laptop Deployment Team

• Possesses proven customer service background.

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and update tracking systems as directed

• Possesses good analytical and communication skills

• Possesses strong ability to work independently

• Able to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions and scripts

• Detailed oriented, independent, self-starter and customer service oriented

• Must have the ability to lift up-to 50lbs.

• Must be able to be on your feet ALL DAY and include up to walking the entire building, walking to different buildings and up and down stairs.

Desired Qualification:

• MCP, MCSE, CNE or Network+ certification is a plus

• Certification in various hardware platforms may optionally be required for servicing hardware issues.
