Job summary

AMAX is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Fremont, CA to assemble components, scan serials, and perform basic maintenance. You will follow assembly instructions and operate test and scanner equipment to ensure proper fit and traceability.

Requirements include a high school or college diploma and electronics or computer industry experience; strong written and verbal communication; ability to multi-task and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by checking connections for correct fit and fastening parts.
• Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.).
• Operate test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required.
• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary.

• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking purpose
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.), where applicable.
• Operates test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required
• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary

• High school or college diploma

• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes, know how to handle hand tools and light power tools.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, solid communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, able to input data into a computer and work with computer screen for long periods of time.
• Standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, bending, squat, reaching with hands and arms.
• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
