Job summary

AMAX in Fremont, CA is seeking an Assembly Technician to support the hardware production line. You will assemble components, verify connections, and log serial numbers in the manufacturing system, while assisting with routine equipment maintenance and test activities.

The role requires a high school or college diploma and experience in electronics or computing. You will read production orders, operate basic tools, and lift up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by checking connections for correct fit and fastening parts.
• Scan component serial numbers into the shop floor system for tracking.
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (burn-in/test cables, repairs).
• Operate test equipment, testers, scanners, and computer systems.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required.
• Provide technical assistance and issue resolution as needed.

• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies
• Scan components serial number into the manufacturing shop floor system for tracking purpose
• Perform equipment maintenance tasks (Burn-In Cable, Test Cable, repairs, etc.), where applicable.
• Operates test equipment, testers, scanner equipment, computer, etc.
• Repair computer hardware and servers as required
• Provide technical assistance and resolution as necessary

• Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions, production orders and all other documentation used to control processes, know how to handle hand tools and light power tools.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, solid communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to stand for long periods of time, able to input data into a computer and work with computer screen for long periods of time.
• Standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, bending, squat, reaching with hands and arms.
• Lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 lbs.
