Whitman County seeks an IT specialist to analyze, test, install, maintain, and support client/server applications, hardware, and software under limited supervision. The role includes responsibility for other technical systems beyond computers and managing IT-related systems across devices.
A mandatory paid rotating on-call shift is required (about 2 weeks per month). On-call hours are weekdays 5:00pm–1:00am and full weekend coverage, plus county holidays.

Under limited supervision, performs technical tasks to analyze, test, install, maintain, and support client/server applications, hardware and software products. Accountable for other technical system(s) other than computers. Manage and/or create information technology-related systems involving both computers and other equipment. This Position requires mandatory participation in a paid, rotating, off‑hour on call shift (approximately 2 weeks per month). The standard on call coverage hours run Monday through Friday from 5:00pm to 1:00am those evenings, and 24‑hour coverage on weekends (Fri 5:00pm through Monday 7:00am) and observed county holidays.
