CGI Federal is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support a large federal client. This role involves performing as a Computer Security Specialist on a Security Engineering Services project, ensuring the security and compliance of customer systems.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Perform as Computer Security Specialist on a Security Engineering Services project.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on all SLAs required by the customer.
- Complete all assigned tasks in the customer issue management tool (Jira).
- Perform RMF security activities for customer systems (approximately 6).
- Maintain security artifacts for customer internal systems (approximately 6).
- Assist in performing all Risk Management Framework (RMF) mandated operational security activities, including vulnerability scan analysis, POA&M creation and remediation, contingency plan testing, and other continuous monitoring activities.
- Assist with communications regarding the security and risk posture of the systems to the system owners.
- Attend bi-weekly customer ISO/ISSO meetings and other meetings as required by the system owners.
- Assist with any ongoing Blue Team incidents.
- Collaborate with team members, system owners, information security officers, developers, system administrators, and other relevant parties to ensure security of new computing technologies.
- Assist with the creation of System Security Plan documentation, system categorization worksheets (like FIPS 199 worksheets).
- Work with Information Security Officers (ISO) and System Owners to prepare for Security Assessments (SA).
- Assist in determining system boundaries, interconnections, hardware and software inventory, and other relevant data for system security plans.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity assessment and compliance.
- Familiarity with RMF process, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity.
- One or more of the following certifications: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP, Pentest+, CISM.
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or at least 4 additional years of IT work experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
CGI offers a competitive salary range estimated between $76,300 and $185,800, along with comprehensive benefits, including insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
