Job summary

BASIS is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to join BASIS Ed Texas. The role focuses on preparing and delivering BASIS Curriculum-aligned lessons, elevating instruction beyond grade level, and collaborating with colleagues to build strong, engaging material for students.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in the subject area (or equivalent coursework), an IVP certificate, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree)
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans
• Provide instruction on a higher level than grade-standard in an interactive learning environment
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum material
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge and skills
• Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement
• Support non-instructional functions such as Early Bird, Late Bird, and lunch
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance
• Supervise individual students and groups of students

Education
