Job summary

Trafera is seeking a Repairs Technician to diagnose and repair devices, document repair activities, and manage parts and inventory. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and delivering reliable IT hardware solutions to customers.

You will handle motherboard and screen installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure repairs meet quality standards while maintaining clear communication with team members and customers.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in computer or electronic device repair.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document repair needs clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair defective devices by examining external and internal components to confirm deficiencies.
  • Determine parts needed to fix issues and assess warranty impact.
  • Follow processes to document diagnosis, parts, inventory counts and utilization.
  • Repair devices by installing motherboards, screens, keyboards and other components.
  • Work efficiently to meet quality and performance standards as part of a team.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to validate repair quality.

Essential Responsibilities

The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.

  • Diagnose and repair defective devices by examining external and internal components to confirm reported deficiencies, validate deficiencies
  • Determine part needed to fix described issue and impact to warranty entitlement
  • Follow established processes to ensure accurate documentation of diagnosis and repair, parts needed for repair, inventory counts and parts utilization
  • Repair devices by installing motherboards, screens, keyboards, and other computer components
  • Effectively and efficiently work to achieve successful individual and team based quality and other performance standards
  • Collaborate with internal team members to check quality of repairs
Minimum Skills, Abilities, And Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of progressive experience in computer or electronic device repair
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively document and communicate repair needs
  • Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations
  • Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results
Technology And Systems
  • ERP System (preferably Infor CSI)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
Essential And Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • When assisting other teams, prolonged periods of standing working on benches, bending over, or repetitive movement.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50+ pounds at times.
Hours

Tues - Fri 8am - 4:30pm
