College of DuPage is seeking a Computer Operator II to monitor and control Colleague processes, manage backups, scan documents, and support evening/weekend coverage. The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration and adherence to shift schedules.
Qualifications include college-level computer coursework and a one-year computer science certificate if available, with two to four years in a data center using Microsoft Office and scanning systems preferred.

Monitor and control Colleague processes and system maintenance tasks. Contact Information Systems or Network Services on equipment or Datatel failures. Monitor Datatel backup jobs and execute Colleague processes for numerous departments according to the prepared shift schedule. Change Network Services backup tapes and file them or prepare them for pickup by offsite data storage company. Scan and link documents for various departments. All duties are not performed on each shift, however, all operators need to know how to do all tasks and cover for absences as needed.

9 Hourly Starting salary beginning at $26.25/hourly, based on education and experience
