Job summary

Cencora is seeking an IT Operations Specialist in Romeoville, IL to perform routine system administration, monitor availability, and maintain audit-ready records. You will follow runbooks and assist with incident intake, with a Bachelor’s degree and under 2 years of IT experience; ITIL/CompTIA certs are preferred. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm.

Salary range $26.00–$29.00 per hour; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and other family and professional development programs. Location: 1001 W.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, infrastructure support, systems support, or related field required.
• ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+ or Network+, or cloud fundamentals certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine system administration tasks including user account maintenance, access provisioning, and basic configuration updates within established procedures and approval requirements.
• Monitors system availability and basic performance indicators, escalating anomalies, alerts, and service disruptions to senior team members for resolution.
• Maintains accurate, organized system records, configuration logs, and administrative documentation that support audit readiness and operational traceability.
• Executes scheduled maintenance tasks, system checks, and administrative workflows following defined runbooks and step-by-step operational procedures.
• Supports incident and service request intake by logging tickets, gathering required information, and routing issues to the appropriate team within established service management procedures.
