Job summary

STI is seeking a Computer Operations Operator to monitor and manage data center systems, ensuring uptime and output quality. The role involves supervising BPE/TPE transactions, environmental controls, and coordinating with vendors for hw/sw.

Statewide network access must be maintained, with attention to security and electrical systems. The ideal candidate has strong NOC experience, production control background, and familiarity with AIX/Linux/Windows environments, plus Control-M and related data

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical degree with 2 years of related experience.
• Experience as Computer Operations Operator in a large data center.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BPE/TPE transactions and environmental, security, electrical and UPS systems.
• Check network systems for statewide access.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software.
• Ensure printed output is high quality and defect-free.

Job description

Under limited supervision, monitors BPE/TPE transactions, all environmental, security, electrical & UPS systems. Checks the network systems to ensure statewide access. Works with vendors for hw/sw. Ensure all printed output is of high quality and defect free.

Preferred Qualifications

Significant experience as a Computer Operations Operator in a large data center. Exp w/a Network Operations Center (NOC). Exp w/production control. Exp with distributed servers running AIX, Linux, and Windows. Exp w/data center security, HVAC and electrical in a data center. Exp w/Control-M, TPE/BPE Manager.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical degree in a related field from an accredited college AND 2 years of related experience
