Emprise Bank is seeking a Computer Operations Specialist for a remote, second-shift role based in Wichita, KS. The position focuses on ensuring uninterrupted computer systems, processing schedules, and data integrity.

You will collaborate with IT teams to manage automated jobs, backups, and incident responses. The ideal candidate has experience with mainframe environments, office software, and scripting languages (Python/Java/SQL), and demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills.

Competenze

• College degree or equivalent education plus industry experience.
• 2–3 years experience with office products, mainframe systems, network methodologies, operating systems, applications, current hardware, and standard protocols.
• Familiarity with programming languages Python, Java or SQL.

Computer Operations Specialist- Remote (2nd Shift)

We are currently seeking a Computer Operations Specialist to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role is an integral part of our technology team and will be responsible for ensuring that our computer systems are effective and efficient at all times.

Essential functions of the role:

• Identify and correct file and system errors
• Develop and maintain jobs within automated file-movement software
• Perform data processing operations according to a business production schedule
• Perform backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss
• Collaborate with Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems
• Maintain and manage processing logs and run procedure manuals
• Troubleshoot problems for users
• Notify Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts personnel of system malfunctions
• Monitor jobs controlled by an automated scheduling system to include building and editing jobs from the scheduler
• Monitor and/or perform the running of system and application updates and notify appropriate personnel of exceptions (ex: batch processing errors)
• Manually submit batch processing jobs
• Process phone requests
• Provide support during business continuity exercises
• Responsible for all system and network availability

Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job

Requirements

• College Degree or level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements
• 2-3 years experience with basic office products, mainframe systems, network methodology, operating systems, applications, current hardware, best practice protocols and standards required
• Familiarity with programming languages Python, Java or SQL
  

  
  Hours: Monday – Friday: 5:30pm-2:30am
