Job summary

Emprise Bank is seeking a Computer Operations Specialist for a 2nd shift on a hybrid schedule in Wichita, KS. The role focuses on ensuring that computer systems are available, reliable, and efficiently managed with strong problem-solving capabilities.

The candidate should have 2–3 years of relevant experience, be able to work evenings (5:30pm–2:30am), and demonstrate excellent customer service, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Shift differential may apply for bilingual candidates.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2–3 years experience with basic office products, mainframe systems, network methodology, operating systems, applications, current hardware, best practice protocols and standards.
• Familiarity with Python, Java or SQL.
• Hours: Monday–Friday 5:30pm–2:30am.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct file and system errors
• Develop and maintain jobs within automated file-movement software
• Perform data processing operations according to a business production schedule
• Perform backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss
• Collaborate with Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems
• Maintain and manage processing logs and run procedure manuals
• Troubleshoot problems for users
• Notify Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts personnel of system malfunctions
• Monitor jobs controlled by an automated scheduling system including building and editing jobs from the scheduler
• Monitor and/or perform the running of system and application updates and notify appropriate personnel of exceptions
• Manually submit batch processing jobs
• Process phone requests
• Provide support during business continuity exercises
• Responsible for all system and network availability
• Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job

Essential functions of the role:
