Job summary

The Nycor Group in Minnesota is seeking skilled CNC Programmers for three newly created positions. These roles focus on programming and development rather than continuous production operation, offering opportunities to drive improvements in processes and manufacturing efficiency.

You will program CNC Mills, Lathes, Swiss or Grinders, develop setup instructions, and work with teams to enhance quality. Relocation is not offered, visa sponsorship is not available, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Machining or equivalent required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience programming, setting up and operating CNC machines (Mills, Lathes, Grinding, Swiss).
• Strong experience with Mastercam, GibbsCam, or SolidCAM; Solidworks knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Program CNC Mill, Lathe (Turning), Swiss or Grinders using Mastercam.
• This is NOT a position where you will be running/operating production.
• Develop and maintain machine setup instructions, tooling requirements, and work instructions.
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability.
• Help develop and improve processes from initial setup through production.
• Support a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Machining / Machining Technology (AA or equivalent).
• 3 or more years hands‑on experience programming, setting up and operating CNC machines, including experience with any of the following: CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, CNC Grinding, CNC Swiss
• Solid experience with Mastercam, GibbsCam, or SolidCAM.
• Knowledge and experience using Solidworks.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and CNC programming and setups.
• Ability to take ownership of projects and lead small teams or improvement initiatives.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, supervisors and production personnel.

Hourly rate: $40.00 to $50.00 (Depending on experience)
