Role Description

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Programmer is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Milwaukee area. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for milling and turning equipment used in the production of precision parts for PMC’s forming and packaging machines. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing technical drawings and specifications, selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies, and writing, testing, and adjusting CNC code to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety. The CNC Programmer collaborates closely with machinists, engineers, and production teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and maintain high-quality standards. The role also involves documenting programs, maintaining machine and program files, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work with Technical Drawing and engineering blueprints to interpret dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming and Programming of machine controls and related software to produce complex precision components.
  • Working knowledge of Mastercam and/or Inventor
  • Hands-on experience in Turning and Milling operations, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, G-code, and standard machining practices is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.
  • Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or associate degree in manufacturing, machining, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or precision manufacturing settings is a plus.
