Gaishin Manufacturing, LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and set up lathes and milling machines, read blueprints, and program for precision metal components. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on Swiss-style and Mill/Turn lathes, with the Nakamura-Tome JX200 at our Kentwood facility, on A or B shift, and with a 10% shift premium.

Formación

• Must have CNC operation experience with precision metal parts.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and GD&T.
• Familiar with calipers, micrometers, gauges and dimensional checks.
• Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic.

Full-Time | Grand Rapids Facility (4423 40 th Street // Kentwood, MI)

Wage Range: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour

Available Shifts:

A-Shift: Monday through Thursday 5:00 am – 3:00 pm EST

B-Shift: Monday through Thursday 2:30 pm – 12:30 am EST

Includes 10% Shift Premium

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and machine setup will be essential in ensuring high-quality production standards. Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Swiss-style and Mill/Turn lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Monitor equipment for proper operation and elevate issues to set up technicians or supervisors as needed.
• Follow all quality standards, production procedures, and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members and provide clear shift handoffs to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of CNC operation experience (Swiss-style experience preferred).
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Understanding of basic production processes and quality checks.
• Strong attention to detail and dependable work ethic.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks during a full shift.
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating Swiss-style lathes or multi-axis machines.
• Background in aerospace or medical manufacturing.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
