Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist

Xomox Jewelry Inc. (New York City)

Xomox Jewelry in New York City is seeking a CNC machinist responsible for the set up, operation, and maintenance of machine shop equipment.

Primary Qualifications:

• Professional CNC Milling experience
• Professional knowledge of 3D CAD Programs (e.g. Fusion360, NX, Rhino, SolidWorks)
• Direct exposure to jewelry strongly preferred (working knowledge with precious metals such as gold, platinum, palladium, titanium)
• Excellent mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Committed to standard of excellence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain machine shop equipment, including but not limited to CNC Lathe and 5-Axis Milling Machine (Haas Controller)
• Candidate should be capable of milling, turning, drilling, etc. to machine various parts and assemblies to the required dimensions and tolerances
• Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to direct tool paths
• Follow all safety regulations, including but not limited to wearing face shields/goggles, protective clothing, etc.
• Read and comprehend mechanical schematics and/or drawings
• Assemble parts from sketches, drawings, CAD Software output, and/or verbal instructions
• Responsible for other duties as assigned
