Job summary

Wisconsin Department of Corrections is seeking a teacher to develop and implement an educational program for persons in our care. You will provide individual and group instruction in keyboarding, computer applications, and computer literacy, and complete all required documentation and progress reporting.

You will monitor student behavior, attend staffing meetings, and serve on committees. The role may include training staff, interns, and engaging in specialized instruction and projects.

Qualifications

• Certification by the Wisconsin Technical College System as a Teacher of Computer Software, certification Number 103.
• Minimum 2 years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience in the program area, with 1 year (2,000 hours) within 5 years prior to appointment.
• Two years of post-secondary teaching experience within 5 years may substitute for some requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program of educational services for PIOC.
• Provide individual and group instruction in keyboarding, computer applications, and computer literacy.
• Complete documentation, assess progress, and report as required.
• Monitor student behavior and participate in staff meetings and committees.
• Provide training to other staff and interns and engage in specialized instruction and projects.
