BridgePoint Consulting seeks a Computer Engineer III to join our engineering team supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division in Crane, IN. In this mid-to-senior role you will lead the design, development, integration, and testing of complex embedded systems, digital hardware, and software architectures.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital engineering, HIL simulations, MBSE and full lifecycle deployment within defense programs, with ability to mentor engineers

Qualifications

Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Engineer III to join our engineering team supportingthe Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division. In this mid-to-senior level role, you will beresponsible for leading the design, development, integration, and testing of complex embedded systems, digitalhardware, and software architectures. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in digital engineeringpractices, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations, and a rigorous approach to full-lifecycle systemsdeployment within defense systems environments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinaryengineering teams, defense contractors, and senior government stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, andmission-critical solutions.

Requirements

• System Design & Integration: Lead the design and architecture of embedded systems, integratingsingle-board computers, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• HIL Testing & Validation: Architect and execute comprehensive Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation testbenches to validate real-time operational performance prior to deployment.
• Digital Engineering & Prototyping: Conduct digital design utilizing VHDL/Verilog, oversee PCB layouts,and utilize modern digital engineering toolchains for rapid hardware prototyping.
• Software Development: Write, optimize, and maintain production-grade embedded code in C/C++alongside automation/scripting pipelines using Python or Java.
• Lifecycle Management: Guide full-lifecycle configuration management, model-based systems engineering(MBSE), and rigorous design review documentation.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, spearhead major technical reviews, and effectively briefprogress to technical leadership and government representatives
