Job summary

Alsip-Merrionette Park Public Library District is seeking a part-time library assistant to provide services at the computer help desk in the adult department. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, customer-service oriented, team-focused, and passionate about helping all members of the community.

Spanish language skills are preferred. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication abilities and comfort with Windows, MS Office, and mobile devices.

Job description

This Part-Time position provides library services at the computer help desk in the adult department. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated to excellent customer service, team-oriented, and passionate about working with all members of the community. Schedule:

• Wednesday: 9:15 am - 1:15 pm
• Every other Saturday: 9:15 am - 1:15 pm

Salary:Hourly salary range begins at $15.50 commensurate with skills and experience.
(Salary Grade 5: $15.50-$19.00)

Benefits:
2 weeks sick time accrued annually

Employment requires a criminal background check at library expense
