Job summary

44 Custom Woodworx is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer/Drafter to develop detailed floor plans, cabinetry drawings, and millwork shop drawings for high-end residential and commercial projects. The role requires translating architectural plans and field dimensions into fabrication-ready drawings with precise dimensions and materials.

You will create 3D renderings and work closely with the fabrication team to ensure drawings reflect exact construction methods and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with detailed shop drawing experience.
• Experience in cabinetry, millwork, or interior construction is preferred.
• Ability to translate plans and field dimensions into fabrication-ready drawings.

Job Description 44 Custom Woodworx is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer/Drafter to join our team and assist in developing detailed floor plans, custom cabinetry drawings, architectural millwork shop drawings, and 3D renderings for high-end residential and commercial projects.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cabinet construction, architectural millwork, drafting standards, and construction documents. This position requires more than basic AutoCAD experience—we are looking for someone capable of taking architectural plans, field dimensions, design concepts, and project specifications and translating them into highly detailed, fabrication-ready shop drawings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed AutoCAD floor plans and cabinetry layouts
• Produce comprehensive cabinet and architectural millwork shop drawings
• Create detailed plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
• Clearly identify cabinet dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, fillers, panels, moldings, shelving, and other components
• Develop 3D models and realistic renderings to assist with client presentations and design approvals
• Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and interior design documents
• Coordinate cabinetry with appliances, plumbing fixtures, electrical, lighting, countertops, and adjacent construction
• Revise drawings based on field conditions, architect/designer comments, and client selections
• Work closely with our project management and fabrication teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect how each project will be constructed

Qualifications

• Candidates should be highly proficient in AutoCAD and experienced in producing detailed construction or shop drawings.
• Experience with custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, woodworking, or interior construction is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling/rendering software is required.
• A strong candidate will understand that our shop drawings are not simply conceptual elevations. They must contain the precise dimensions, specifications, materials, construction details, and information necessary for our fabrication team to accurately build and install each project.
• We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, technically knowledgeable, and able to produce clean, professional drawing packages consistent with the quality of high-end custom cabinetry and millwork.
