Job summary

• Coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve drawing issues.
• Maintain drawing files, revision histories, and configuration-controlled documentation; support schedules.

Job Summary

We are seeking multiple Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Drafters for a six-month contract supporting ongoing engineering and design projects, with potential for extension based on project needs.

In this role, you will use AutoCAD to develop, revise, and maintain electrical and I&C drawings, including panel layouts, one-line diagrams, wiring and interconnection diagrams, and instrumentation drawings. You will incorporate engineering comments, field redlines, and design changes into controlled drawing packages; coordinate with engineers, designers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve drawing issues; and review drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with drafting standards. Along with the team, you will maintain drawing files, revision histories, and configuration-controlled documentation while supporting project schedules and deliverables in a multidisciplinary engineering environment with limited supervision.

**This is a full-time, 6- to 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance; due to the nature of work conducted, only US Citizens are eligible for hire.**

Requirements and Education

• Must be a U.S. Citizen


• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting, design technology, engineering technology, or a related field or equivalent relevant work experience


• Minimum of two years of proven electrical drafting experience using AutoCAD


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality


• Able to organize and manage multiple drawing assignments at the same time


• Clear communication with engineers, designers, and project leadership


• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a project team


• Able to meet schedule commitments and respond to changing priorities


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Ability to work within electronic document and drawing management systems

Preferred Requirements

• Three to five years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical


• Experience in Department of Energy, utility, power generation, manufacturing, oil and gas, chemical processing, industrial construction, or other highly regulated technical environments is desirable


• Experience with field walkdowns, redline incorporation, configuration management, quality-controlled documentation, and as-built drawing revisions is beneficial


• General awareness of National Electrical Code concepts applicable to electrical drafting
