Job summary

The role requires hands-on CADAM 2D drafting, interpretation of legacy drawings, validating conversions, and extracting component and BOM specifications for downstream use. This is a remote, 12+ month contract opportunity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CADAM 2D Drafting (CCD/CDD) and legacy drawings.
• Strong understanding of 2D wireframe geometry, dimensions, annotations and drawing structures.
• Ability to validate converted geometry and engineering information against original CADAM drawings.

Responsibilities

• Convert legacy 2D CADAM drawings into interoperable formats (IGES, CATIA V5, DWG/DXF).
• Preserve dimensions, geometric features and engineering information for downstream use.
• Interpret, validate, and troubleshoot CAD conversions; identify missing geometry or attributes.
• Extract and correlate component and assembly specifications from drawings and BOM documentation.

Location: Remote --- 12+ Months Contract

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced CADAM CAD Engineer to convert legacy 2D CADAM drawings into interoperable formats (IGES, CATIA V5, DWG/DXF) while ensuring the preservation of dimensions, geometric features and engineering information for downstream component identification and visual inspection.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Hands-on experience with CADAM 2D Drafting (CCD/CDD) and interpretation of legacy engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of 2D wireframe geometry, geometric entities, dimensions, annotations, drawing structures, and attributes.
• Ability to interpret, validate, and troubleshoot CAD conversions, identifying missing geometry, attributes, or structural relationships.
• Experience extracting and correlating component and assembly specifications from CAD drawings and associated BOM documentation.
• Ability to validate converted geometry and engineering information against original CADAM drawings to support downstream visual annotation and inspection
