Job summary

AllSTEM Connections is recruiting a CAD Designer for a hybrid role in Wisconsin. You will design and draft building systems using AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and create layouts for Firefighter Air Replenishment Systems across commercial and healthcare facilities.

Position Title – CAD Designer

Hourly Pay Rate (w2 Role) - USD 30 /hr - USD 40/hr

Contract End Date - 1/18/2027

Hybrid Position

The client is seeking a CAD Designer with strong experience designing and drafting building systems using AutoCAD (2D & 3D). This person will be responsible for creating complete layouts for Firefighter Air Replenishment Systems (FARS) used in commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, data center, and high-rise buildings.

The ideal candidate combines advanced drafting/design expertise with a solid understanding of mechanical piping systems, electrical layouts, construction drawings, and building infrastructure. They should be able to independently develop system designs, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and manage several projects simultaneously.

Must-Have Requirements

Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (2D and 3D)

5+ years of CAD Design experience

Experience designing mechanical and/or electrical building systems

Ability to create:

• Schematic drawings

Experience reading and coordinating:

• Architectural drawings
• Mechanical drawings
• Electrical drawings

Associate Degree in:

• Drafting & Design Technology
• Related technical discipline

Strong understanding of:

• Mechanical piping layouts

Preferred Qualifications

Controls, Telecommunications, Security Systems, or Industrial Systems Design experience
