Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a CT technologist to support diagnostic imaging procedures. You will prepare patients, operate CT equipment, and ensure patient safety while following practitioner protocols.

Ideal candidates have ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, a state license, and at least 1 year CT experience; a high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree preferred. The role offers weekday hours in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives, relays, and documents verbal, written, and electronic orders.
• Prepares patient for procedure and meets patient needs during procedures.
• Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, pathology, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Adapts care to patient age, condition, and abilities.
• Follows licensed practitioner protocols and optimizes factors for safety.
• Identifies, prepares, and administers medications including contrast media.
• Performs venipuncture as prescribed.
• Evaluates images for quality and records patient information accurately.

Job description

What We Offer:

The CT technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:30pm

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
• Experience: One year experience in CT, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • NH Medical Group Office-Certified and registered: by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT); required.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates CT equipment.

• Identifies, prepares, and administers medications, including contrast media, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Performs venipuncture as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for quality and ensures proper recording of accurate patient identification and anatomical laterality.
