Job summary

Jackson Healthcare is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent position at a skilled nursing facility in Wrangell, AK. You will interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast, operate CT equipment, and assist with interventional procedures while performing mammography and other diagnostic imaging as needed.

Required ARRT in Radiography and BLS (within 45 days). Mammography competency is essential, along with sterile technique and venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start; AHA preferred.
• Ability to perform diagnostic radiography and CT examinations, including contrast administration and use of injectors.
• Mammography competency with ability to perform screening, diagnostic imaging, and biopsy support.
• Experience with sterile technique, tele-radiology transmission, venipuncture, and assisting with invasive/interventional procedures.
• Willingness to rotate shifts and be on-call with 20-minute response time.
• Willingness to expand competency to additional imaging modalities (e.g., Ultrasound, MRI) as needed.
• Multi-modality certification or experience (CT, MR, MG, NM) is desirable.

Job description

We’re seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a permanent role at a skilled nursing facility in Wrangell, AK. The CT Technologist will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents according to protocol, operate CT equipment, assist with interventional procedures, and perform mammography and general diagnostic imaging as needed.

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
• Clinical competency assessment completed within 3 months of hire and every three years, as required by the client.
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start, American Heart Association preferred.
• Ability to perform diagnostic radiography and CT examinations, including contrast administration and use of automatic injectors.
• Mammography competency and ability to perform screening, diagnostic, specimen radiography, breast needle localization, stereotactic breast biopsy support, and quality control. Active maintenance of required mammography CEUs and annual case volumes per ACR/FDA requirements.
• Experience with sterile technique, tele-radiology transmission, venipuncture, and assisting with invasive/interventional procedures.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and report to work within 20 minutes when on call.
• Willingness to learn and maintain competency in additional imaging modalities (e.g., Ultrasound, MRI) as required by management.
• Required certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Clinical Competency Assessment per SEARHC standards. Basic Life Support (BLS) per American Heart Association.
• Experience: Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities. Multi-modality certification or experience preferred (CT, MR, MG, NM, ARDMS categories desirable).
• Sign-on and relocation incentives for qualified hire: $25K sign-on and $10K relocation for qualified candidates.
• $10K annual geographic differential pay on top of base for eligible employees.
