Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT procedures on adult patients under radiologist guidance. You will ensure high-quality imaging and engage in the department’s imaging workflow using the radiology information system.

You should have an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, ARRT CT certification (and BLS), and at least 2 years of CT experience, with preference for Philips systems and 3D imaging experience.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program completion required.
• ARRT certification is required; CT certification within one year of hire is mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years CT Technologist experience; Philips experience preferred.
• 3D imaging experience strongly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures on adult patients under radiologist guidance.
• Operate radiology information system and ensure accurate patient data entry.
• Interpret physician instructions and optimize image quality.
• Educate patients about the CT process and prepare them for the procedure.

Job description

In accordance withestablished professional and departmental standards and procedures, performscomputerized axial tomography procedures on adult patients under the guidanceof a radiologist.

• Technicalknowledge of various diagnostic imaging procedures .
• Demonstratesproficiency in the utilization of all aspects of thedepartment’s radiologyinformation system.
• Accuratelyinterprets and follows physician’s scanning instructions and prescription .
• Usesindependent judgment and necessary skills in order to obtain high quality CTimages .
• Educatespatient on the entire process that the patient will undergo for CT procedure.

Successful completion from an AMA approved Radiologic TechnologyProgram with ARRT Certification.

Certification in CT is highly preferred.Certification in CT through the ARRT is mandatory within one year from date of hire.

Minimum 2 years as experienced CT Technologist, preferably withPhilips experience.

3D Imagingexperience highly preferred.

Current Certification in Basic Life Support.

Venipuncture and Contrast Administration Validation within onemonth of hire date.

Ability to workas a contributing member of a highly functioning, cooperative and efficientteam.

Ability to workindependently.
