WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Computed Tomography Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department, rotating through radiology areas as assigned. The role emphasizes safety, image quality, and patient care across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.
Responsibilities include exam preparation, image acquisition, and accurate documentation. Must meet state licensure requirements and maintain infection control standards in a fast-paced environment.
Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment for that purpose. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned. Involved in the practice of radiation and general safety at all times.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
Radiography certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within 6 months of hire.
Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided
MD: Radiographer license through the Maryland Board of Physicians
OH: Radiographer license through the Ohio Board of Radiology
PA: No state license is required
WV :Radiography License OR Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board.
Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire
State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.

To apply for the next level, the computed tomography technologist must meet the requirements of their current level. They must also meet the required years of experience, degree, and certification to apply for the next level.
