Department Details

Fast‑paced CT department in an acute care setting working with emergency, urgent care and inpatient populations.

Job Summary

Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images. Produces quality CT exam images and exercises professional judgment in performing procedures. Work Shift: 7 days on, 7 days off; Wednesday - Tuesday 10 am - 8 pm. Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary. Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and produces quality CT scans.
• Performs related procedures and protocols, including mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA procedures.
• Obtains and records patient information to improve personalized treatment and care.
• Assists new employees and learns new technology.
• Works with patients of all age groups.
• May be required to perform on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA‑approved school or JCE program.
• CT training or experience preferred.
• ARRT certification required at time of hire.
• CT certification within two years preferred (per DICOE & ACR).
• Licensure requirements by state: NDMIRT (North Dakota), 24‑month CT certification (Aberdeen, SD), Iowa permit to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment; re‑certification as necessary.
