Job summary

Glean is hiring a Software Engineer, Compute Infrastructure to design, build, and operate the core compute platform powering AI search, assistant, and agentic workloads. You’ll focus on Kubernetes-based runtime systems, multi-cloud infrastructure, and cost-efficient, low-latency execution at scale.

You’ll join Platforms, collaborate with cross-functional teams, own end-to-end reliability, and contribute to on-call incidents.

Qualifications

• Strong distributed systems fundamentals with production-grade backend/services.
• Experience designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency workloads.
• Comfort owning systems end-to-end: design, tests, deployment, ops.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own backend/platform services for compute infrastructure.
• Develop Kubernetes-based runtime primitives across multi-cloud foundation.
• Collaborate with infra, data, and product teams on deployment and runtime ops.
• Improve latency, resource utilization, and cost for core services.
• Implement infra-as-code, observability, SLOs, dashboards, and rollouts.
